Reports came out that San Antonio is shopping three-time All-Star Tony Parker. It’s rumored that the Los Angeles Lakers are trying to move PF Lamar Odom. Phoenix just shot down rumors that they are trying to trade two-time league MVP Steve Nash.

    So I missed out on being able to write during the greatest basketball month in the history of my fandom, but luckily for me, the League wisely places the NBA Draft at the perfect time. Just as the dust has settled on the Finals and fans everywhere have mentally prepared themselves for the blankness of the off-season, we get one more chance to scrutinize, debate, and celebrate our favorite teams. This year’s draft was tagged as unpredictable early on, and it certainly lived up to that billing. The beauty of the Draft is that the discussion is pretty much never-ending, as any player’s legacy is up for grabs until the day he hangs it up, but here are one fan’s initial thoughts, coming at you six picks at a time. Chicago Bulls- Derrick Rose, Fr, G, Memphis.

Well, well, the day is finally here.  Tonight, I (along with many other rabid basketball fans) will have my eyes and ears glued to my TV set to find out who will go number 1 overall what crazy-ass (Benny, you were an English major, do I need to hyphenate "crazy-ass"?) deal Blazers General Manager Kevin Pritchard will swing during this year's NBA Draft.

We currently own the #6 Pick in the NBA Draft this June. I would have love for us to get a chance to grab Derrick Rose, but thats out of the picture. However, I'm thinking we need a point guard that will be running our team. Unless Donnie Walsh will be trading for T.J. Ford or Kirk Hinrich, I think we should be looking to get O.J. Mayo or D.J. Augustin. I feel they are more than capable of running the show in NYC. If we can not get anyone of these players, I think drafting the best player available isn't going to do much to help us. Walsh has already stated what he's trying to do with the pick
