T-Mac, Rip Hamilton, Chris Wilcox, Mike Bibby and Dunleavy are on the move as well, though these names seem like afterthoughts compared to the seismic activity higher up.

And all this happened in slightly over a week. It’s certainly enough to make the casual fan's head spin. The ramifications of this unforseen, pre-season turbulence on the regular season, though, is what really boggles the mind. With little time to mesh, little time to prepare, and a season packed tighter than Delta coach (zing!), teams should be in for a wild ride. We're staring down the barrel of the most slapdash, unforseen and chemistry-bungled season since, dare I say, 1998! Should be a wild ride.

ds of the floor for them.  Though Johnson was terrific again last night, the Atlanta bench and Mike Bibby stunk up the garden like a rancid skunk carcass (what beautiful imagery) and sunk what little chances the Hawks had of beating the Celtics again.

gs that I noticed in game 4 (aside from the lopsided officiating) was the poor perimeter defense on Mike Bibby, Josh Smith and Joe Johnson.  All three got pretty much anywhere they wanted to go on the floor and found themselves with many open looks and uncontested shot opportunities.  Smith was mostly ineffective on the perimeter and "earned" nearly half of his points from thecharity stripe, but there were stretches where he killed the Celtics with mid-range jumpers.

 Joe Johnson and Mike Bibby are nice veterans with some playoff experience and success under their belts (though no titles), and Josh Smith is a tantalizing young talent with limitless potential and a freaky body, but they aren't exactly the same as Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Jason Richardson and Monta Ellis (Joe Johnson is best player in that group not named Baron Davis, but I really like Ellis and Jackson's experience, winner's mentality, craziness etc.).
