Well, I suppose that I am getting what I wanted.  The Cleveland Cavaliers are in Boston for tonight's opening game of the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs against the Celtics.  A month or two ago, I boldly stated that I wanted the Celtics to play Cleveland in the second round because they are so inconsistent and flawed (LeBron James aside) and I thought that the Celtics had a good chance of beating them.  Judging by the way LeBron performed against the Wizards and the way the Wizards performed against LeBron, perhaps I should have been pulling for the upset all along (I was, secretly.  Nobody in their right mind really wants to play LeBron James, right Gil?).

e hasn't made a contribution in any other way for the Wizards.

So much for the vaunted defense of Ben Wallace, by the way.  Brendan Haywood's first half stat line: 12 points on 6 of 8 shooting with five rebounds and two blocks.  Three of Haywood's boards came on offense as well, which reflects poorly on the Cav's bigs and validates my claims that they are terrible.   Antawn Jamison also has 12 points and 11 boards as well, and is out-muscling Cleveland on the glass.  This is dangerous, considering that Cleveland usually dominates the glass.  The game is intense and emotional, and was entertaining as well in the first half.  Going into the break its 46-46.

Celtics should be able to exploit the Cavs weaknesses on both ends of the floor.  Offensively, Ben Wallace and Anderson Varejao are black holes in the middle of the floor, living only off of the offensive glass and lacking anything even remotely close to touch on their jump shots or around the rim.  Their other front court options, Joe Smith (consistently mediocre) and Big Z (as far as I can tell, a statue) are not without their glaring flaws and can disappear as easily as they can impact the game.
