The Boston Celtics have definitely proven their worth as a championship team. Their cinderella story has came true the previous season and now comes the hard part. It's time to defend and it's time to prove that they are deserving to be called NBA Champions. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett will have their hands full this season as many teams have improved their line-ups.
In the Eastern Conference, there are a couple of teams that made upgrades in their rosters and these changes will greatly affect the whole conference itself. The former rankings of the teams in the East will have a slight change due to the trades made in the off-season.
The Boston Celtics will probably have a harder time beating the following teams below:
1) Cleveland
Lebron James will probably come up with an MVP season this year and his newly acquired teammate Mo Williams will definitely add firepower for the Cavs. Last season was quite close but no cigar for Lebron as he was close to winning an MVP trophy and also close to beating the Celtics in just a single game. Lebron has an upgraded team backing him up and his then new teammates is more acquainted with him now, which means more chemistry than before and also means a harder time for opposing teams.
The Celtics quite lack the height against the Cavs before because the frontline of the Cavs is one of the tallest in the entire NBA. But with the addition of rookies and the center Patrick O'Bryant, the Celtics has surely gotten taller inside. Still, Lebron will match up with Pierce and these two will have their marquee head-to-head battle. KG will still post up against Big Ben Wallace and Ray Allen and Wally Sczerbiak will face each other from 3-point range.
The key for the Celtics to rule over the Cavs is to STOP AND CONTAIN LEBRON and Protect the THREE.
