Here is the line-up for the 2008-2009 BOSTON CELTICS
Guards:
Rajon Rondo, Gabe Pruitt, J.R. Giddens, Eddie House, Sam Cassell, Tony Allen, Ray Allen
Forwards:
Paul Pierce, Leon Powe, Glen Davis, Kevin Garnett, Brian Scalabrine, Bill Walker
Centers:
Kendrick Perkins, Patrick O'Bryant
===================================================
James Posey leaving the Celtics will have a small impact but this in tact unit can still carry the load left by Pose. There are many other role players in this line-up that can provide enough stats and determination to assist the team. Adding Patrick O'Bryant is a good move coz Perk will have a legitimate back-up center. There's no more P.J. Brown as well, which means that the veteran leadership will shift into the Big Three and to Sam Cassell as well.
The Darius Miles thing is quite an interesting move. Though D-Miles had his great years when he was in Portland and with the Clippers, a career-changing knee-injury has definitely made him a different player. Before, he had big ups and he's one of the most exciting and athletic players in the league. But as the Celtics gave him a chance, D-Miles may need to improve his game more in order to earn a roster spot for any team. With dissapointingly low averages put up during the pre-season, D-Miles was overshadowed by other role players and rookies.
Is the Celtics going to trade anyone for the coming season?
Who knows...but this current lin-up is already enough to defend the crown.
HOPEFULLY, NO INJURIES WILL COME THE CELTICS' WAY.
