The Celtics came out with that fire and determination in their eyes last night and showed Orlando exactly where they were(OUR HOUSE) and who the Champs are (The Cs, of course]!!! The Cs got a quick lead from the beginning of the game and did not let it go; in fact, they did what I had hoped--if House, Scale, and Marbury could give us one good quarter of ball, we'd take it.
In actuality, they gave us more than that; they gave the Cs a good half or more. HOUSE was the man, getting smacked in the head by Alston (who should be suspended) after he made a 3-point shot. I think that move by Alston actually got House going, leading him to go off for 31 points (game high), 14 rebounds, and 2 assists. Sick! Just what the Cs needed!!!!

C-Nation, I believe that we are in for another crazy fight like the first round with the Bulls that felt like two fighters in the ring exchanging blow after blow. But unlike the Pacquiao/Hatton fight Sat. Night which was over before you could blink --Pac-Man won if you didn't know -- I I'm not so sure that the C's can end the Magic as quickly.
Just in case you don't know, D. Howard and Lewis are the Orlando Magic's main men, so if the Cs defense can hold those two down, it could be a quick battle, otherwise we could be looking at another long series. (Each day this series reminds me of last year's and we all know how that turned out; so hopefully, the Cs are headed in the same direction.) After so much sweat and tears, and my feet are blistered from not being able to sit down after that whole first round, I'm hoping Big Baby and Perkins can run the paint and Rondo can use his speed and Pierce and Allen do what they do, the Cs will be off to a good start and make this series a little easier to watch and to breathe. But once again we do not know how tired the Cs will be, so we must count on our bench again, knowing they can fill in when needed, especially Scalabrine helping Big Glen Davis Baby (who is my NBA playoff MVP right now looking like the mini KG and getting his job done) cover R. Lewis and the Cs also need House being House.

Last night's game between the Celtics and the Bulls ended what is only going to be remembered as an epic battle. It's finally over and C-nation got the win we wanted and sent the Bulls packing. Clearly, the Celts bench stepped it up to another level -- this is what I have been waiting for during the entire playoffs -- seeing the team play like a unit instead of counting on one guy.
This made our defense better and gave us the feeling of "this is our house" and that we had something to prove. We did. Still I had the whole fams over my place -- MIT, Dato, Ray, Ro,Bobafet, Neil, Apu, KC, Jon, and Manny, and I had G,The Professor, BillyBob, Hannah, Jr, Bedlam (Showoff Records), J and even Murray on text every 2 seconds because even though the Cs had the lead most of the game; this series we had to expect anything at any moment. This, of course, led to pacing, swearing, yelling, bad/good texts, high 5s, and profuse sweating--not a pretty sight! But it was all worth it; Eddie House made OUR house go nuts!

People are calling this the best playoff series ever, but it all comes to an end tonight. This has been a back and forth epic battle with a different "main man" stepping up for both teams in each game (including the 4 overtimes in 6 games, an NBA record).
There have been rumors floating around that Kevin Garnett may be able to dress and play in this game. I am not sure that's going to happen, but if KG were to return, even if he played for 2 minutes, Boston might just explode!!! Danny Ainge did make a comment saying this was not true, but you never know. I wouldn't count on any returns saving us either way. The Celts just need to play the Defense like they know how and, hopefully, our Offense will come in with energy and that domination that we saw in game 3.

This series could be one of the best series in basketball history. The game was completly insane! It went to 3 overtimes which is the 4th time we have gone to overtime in 6 games (an NBA record) versus this young and gun Chicago Bulls team. Last night, the Professor and I put track marks in the carpet by with all of our pacing, and this game would not end. Every time you thought it was over, (in regulation Cs up by 8 with a couple minutes, Brad Miller stepped up and made amends for the last game, but it was our game to lose and we did) it wasn't--and 3 overtimes later the Cs just looked tired and they still had a chance for the win and Pierce turned it over to Noah and he scored and got fouled by Pierce( fouling out) and giving the Bulls the lead by 3 and that was pretty much t

So the Cs are in Chicago where we know they like the pizza and where Pierce loves the sausages, as he said on his Twitter page. Now it's game time and the Cs want to stop this crazy battle where we have witnessed 3 overtimes in 5 games. It's been another playoff level like Bird/Jordan and while all of that's been exciting, C-Nation would love to end it tonight!!! So get out of the restaurants and onto victory! Last game Perk and Baby were huge, and Pierce, Rondo, and Ray Ray are on the next level and know how to win and come back when we're down. So let's do what we did in game 3 and put the Bulls out to pasture. Let's see that fire in their eyes (even if it's from the pizza and sausage); game tonight 7:00; Let's go, Celts!

Okay, Lakers' fans and bloggers (particularly C Strickland), the Lakers and Kobe should be worried because even if you do make the Finals, which the entire city of Boston thinks is a big if, (Denver/Houston/Portland would all give you a run), Cleveland is not your only issue.
The Celtics are doing exactly what they did last year and as you say, even you saw the utter demolition of LA last year. It could happen again and by another team; that's why sports rule...because you never know. And I'm not saying the Cs are on top of their game yet, but this is all what happened last year and history does have a way of repeating itself. Last year everyone said we would sweep the Atlanta Hawks; they took us 7. Then they said the Cs would sweep Cleveland, took us 7. And when everyone said it would go 7 against Detroit and LA, it was only 6 for the Pistons and LA!!! So even with no KG (who everyone thinks we don't have a chance to see play -- but as we have seen, "everyone" isn't always right), it's pretty clear, in my mind at least, that Cleveland's not the only team to worry about. LA, you have a lot to worry about!!!
