Boston Celtics: And It All Comes Down to This

So once again we face the win or go-home game seven situation. This Orlando series has been a mixture of blowouts, come-backs, and some good battles; tonight's game is all or nothing. If we consider the history of the Boston Celtics, this game is in the bag...every time the Cs are in game 7, their record is 20-5. At home they are 17-3. Orlando is 1-1 in this situation and 0-1 on the road.

But I always think that records are meant to be broken, and that's why they play the game and this is what makes the NBA intense. I firmly believe that if the Cs play like we all know they can, the Cs can take this game; but if they play sloppy and think that the Orlando Magic is just going to hand it over, the Cs can be in trouble. We need to also consider that Ray Ray, who has been averaging 11 points a game and shooting 30% in this series, has not been playing well, especially when you realize that last series he averaged 23 points a game.

NESN spoke with Ray, and he said, "I just need to calm down and get into my flow and we will be fine." Okay, Ray, that's good to hear..now let's see you get into action. Hopefully Pierce, Rondo, Perkins, and Baby can get their flow going, too -- what we've seen only sporadically this series. It all comes down to these players performing their best all at once.

So this could be a boring blow-out game, but I have the feeling that it is going to be a fight to the death and will come down to the last possession where you cannot take your eyes off the TV. Vegas gives the Cs a 2 1/2 point spread and agrees that this game is going to be close. Both teams have fought hard to get to this point, but home court is an advantage. This is the game you don't want to miss, CNation, home court is ours...the game is at the Garden tonight at 8 pm. And remember, never underestimate the heart of a champion!
