Boston Celtics: Don't Call it a Comeback

The Boston Celtics, for the second game in a row, made a comeback after trailing throughout 3 quarters and some of the 4th. Even then the Celtics were still able to close them down and get the win!!!! The Celtics know better than any other team how to closeout games and can pull out a win when trailing!! This is the essence of The Boston Celtics: last night's game was not a comeback--it's just how they play! Last night's win was huge because it gave the Celts their first lead of the series (3-2), and now it's clear that the Cs can finish them in Orlando on Thursday night.

But back to last night's game: the Truth -- "Paul Pierce" -- was told! He came out last night with that determination and fire controlling the Cs keeping them close enough the whole game, scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. Rondo (6 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) and Allen (13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists) looked a little off, and they didn't really play as well as C-Nation knows they can. Meanwhile Big Baby and Perkins (6 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) played awesome.

Baby had the game high with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and looked like "the ticket stub"(KG is the "BIG TICKET") as he says he is, but I think he's playing like an all-star. And right when the Cs needed someone to step up, BABY DID!!!!!!!! This game was in Orlando's hands; they had a 14 point lead with 8 minutes left; scary!! Then the Cs bench stepped up again; with Marbury scoring 12 points (that's how many points D. Howard had), 2 assists and a steal. (He gets my vote for the Gameball). Now, as Bobafet and Dato say, "He needs to keep shooting."

House, with 8 points and 2 assists and a huge steal, proved to be the difference in this battle!! Within the last minute of the game, Ray Ray (who always seems to be able to hit the big shot, even when he is off) hit a big 3 giving us our 1st lead in the 4th by 1 with 57 seconds left. The Cs played good Defense and forced up a bad shot and got the rebound. From there on, this game came down to free throws where the Celts were big tonight -- 21 of 21 from the line, and as even-Murray says, "Free throws are always important, especially at the end of the game. It can change everything." Tonight we didn't miss, and we showed everyone who the Champs still are with a 92-88 final!!!! Last night's victory poises the Cs nicely with their first lead of this series, and I hope we see the Cs come out on fire and finish this in 6. See ya Thursday at Orlando 8!!
