Who's Laughing Now, Brad Miller? The Bulls or Celtics?

After another intense game and another overtime, I'm surprised we're all still standing.  Meanwhile, my boy MIT sat out the first half so he could watch American Idol, leaving me high and dry and laughing all the way to the vote. LOL!!!   The Professor, on the other hand, made a night of it, but said he "wouldn't go to the bar unless they have the Celtics game on."  Needless to say, they did. This is the kind of dedication that I expect from Celtics Nation and my Fams.
Not being able to sit down for the whole entire 2nd half, pacing back and forth, Paul Pierce took the game into his hands and made sure the "truth" was told by hitting a jumper with 3.2 seconds giving the Cs the lead by 2 and the big game 5 win.
It really did seem as if the Chicago Bulls had this game, being up by 11 with 9 minutes, and Brad Miller pulls a moving pick causing our main man, Ray Ray, to get a bad call against him. This cost him his 6th foul and put him on the bench. You could see Miller laughing in the background, so clearly, he knew what he was doing.  But even without Ray Ray for the fourth, the rest of the starters got the job done. Perk scored 16 points 19 rebounds and 7 blocks, sweet! Rondo played amazing again scoring a game high of 28 points 8 rebounds and 11 assists; Big Baby stepped it back up (like we knew he would) scoring 21 points 5 rebounds and 3 steals.  Pierce finished them off with 26 points, 6 of them in OT and 7 rebounds, an assist, a block, and 2 steals.  Exactly what the Cs needed from their captain.
In overtime Pierce gave us the lead and the Cs were up 3 with 48 seconds.  Then, out of nowhere, T. Allen made a mistake by fouling Gordon in 3 point land, allowing Gordon to tie the game once again. The Cs wasted no time in getting Pierce the ball, and he hit a jumper leaving 3.2 on the clock giving us our final score of 106 -- 104.
The Bulls set up a play and went to Miller, he drove right to the hoop getting fouled by Rondo, sending him to the line... He needed to hit both to tie it up, he missed the 1st which lead to force a miss on the 2nd shot.  League regulation states that it has to hit the rim, and he missed; our ball, thanks Brad.  HAHAHA!!  So we get the ball and the game is over, sweetness Celtics' Nation!!!  This is a huge win for the Celtics going up 3 games to 2; the Cs just need one more and I'm sure they can get it and then were headed to round 2. Who's laughing now?

  1. Brad Miller shouldn't be ashamed for drawing a foul from Allen. He should be ashamed for missing the first free throw at the end of the game, then following that up by NOT EVEN HITTING THE RIM, which would have given the Bulls a chance for a tip-in, after that! What else could he have done to throw the game away even more?!
