A lot can be said about yesterday's game against the Bulls. D. Rose and the Bulls showed up in our house, and they played like the defending champs while the Cs fought from behind all game. The Celts were off from the tip off; Ray Allen was 1-12 shooting in a game where the Cs really needed him to step up. Rondo played an amazing offensive game scoring 29 points but, as my boy, the Professor, who went to the game said, not even Rondo or the bench could contain D. Rose. He was on fire and scored 36 points (a career high) and 11 assists and led the Bulls to the overtime win 105-103 over the defending champs.
Even with Rose playing the game of his life and Gordon hitting his threes, the Celtics still had this win in their hands at the end of regulation when the Cs were down by 1 with 12 seconds, and we got the ball into Captain Paul "the Truth" Pierce's hands, he drives, steps back for the last shot, and gets fouled by Noah.
Like most die-hard Cs fans, I envisioned the winning scenario: the Bulls were out of timeouts, there was only 2 seconds left on the clock, Pierce would hit both free throws, and the Cs would win!!! However, it really went like this: Pierce steps up to the line (being 9-9 in this game winning situation this year) hits the first for the tie, but misses the second free shot which would have given us the win. Now it's overtime, and the Bulls take advantage; they lead the series one game to none. The Truth, says my bro JR, was NOT told!
The way I see it is that the Rose's 36 points is the reason why the Bulls were even in this game, so unless he can do that for the next six games in a row, the Celts should be fine. So Celts nation, get ready for Monday night cause this is a must win. Meanwhile, Celts nation is talking about KG and if he should be sitting on the bench for the whole game, cause we could see him on the bench for the first half. You could tell how badly he wanted to be out there and when the second half started, KG stayed in the locker room and didn't come out for the rest of the game. Personally I can feel his pain, and I think it should be up to him as to what he wants to do. So come on Pierce, Ray, Rondo, Perkins, Big Baby and the bench, you KNOW you can get passed this Bull.....
