The Celtics stay home for Easter and don't show against Cleveland in a massacre 107-76. Cleveland showed up like this was the championship game while the Celts were simply not there. Ray Ray couldn't hit his jumper, and Pierce only scored 14, but the major problem was that we couldn't play defense. Cleveland, on the other hand, played phenomenal defense at a high-paced level.
Lebron James was unstoppable on the offensive end and the defensive end scoring 29 and helping Cleveland in this game leading by 30 in the 1st half and still...the Celts don't show? I believe that the C's big men couldn't defend this fast Cleveland offense; this is why we need KG and Powe out their hitting the boards. But will they make the difference?? We will see, the Cs play Phili on Tuesday and Washington on Wednesday, and the playoffs begin after that. KG and Powe and a fully healthy team should be playing in that Washington game so that should see a better preview of what the C's are capable of in the playoffs; so let's count yesterday's loss as a team holiday. Keep up the love, Celts' Nation, and hopefully it's our year again. Yesterday's gone, as they say.
