The Boston Celtics swept their five game home stand last night. The C's battled the Miami Heat in what was a playoff game atmosphere, and the Celtics won their 5th game in a row giving the C's 60 wins in the season with 3 games left to go. Dwayne Wade (NBA's leading scorer) gave us all he had scoring 31, but it wasn't enough to beat us; the C's hung on and win 105-98.
Rondo, Pierce, and Allen did their thing holding the C's together scoring 56 points combined, and Big Baby had another great night scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals. They are the trio that has held together the C's since KG has been out. And that begs the obvious question in the backs of all BC fans, "is KG going to be healthy for the playoffs?"
We've just gotten word that Mr. Garnett has been practicing and that he will miss Sunday's game versus Cleveland, but he should be ready to go on Tuesday versus playoff-bound Philadelphia. That is what the Celtics' nation wants to hear and could be the difference in the C's going far in the playoffs or being knocked out early. Also Marbury looked like himself last night hitting his jumpers. He and Eddie House work great together giving our bench the spark it will need with a little help from T. Allen, Moore, and Walker. Also Powe and Scal should be back at the beginning of next week, and I feel confident that if the Celtics are healthy, we can repeat, if not, it's going to be tough. Exactly a week to go til the playoffs and what might be a preview of what is to come. We play Cleveland on Sunday and it should be exciting since they have only lost one home game all year. Lets go Celts!
